Conservatives With Attitude (political opinion and news)

REVIEWED BY: Marguerite Zelle

MY RECOMMENDATION: YES

AMAZON SUBSCRIPTION LINK: Conservatives With Attitude, by Conservatives With Attitude

WEB ADDRESS: http://www.gopusanj.com/wordpress/

BLOG DESCRIPTION: Conservative commentary.

MY REVIEW: There are 6 regular bloggers here, although Michael Illions does seem to do the majority of the postings. Others are Sharon Soon, Mike Proto, Dr. Murray Sabrin, Richard Zuendt and Richard Ross. There is also the occasional guest blogger.

Rush Limbaugh talks often of Governor Christie of New Jersey, and how well he is doing in espousing conservative principles, so it was interesting to see someone at this blog only give him a C+.

The blog is indeed, strictly about New Jersey politics. Nevertheless, it's an interesting read even if you're not from New Jersey. Depressing, too. When you read about how politics really works in this country, you wonder how we ever got anything done.

Sample post:
(Just because it has some interesting numbers)
Even with the ’summer time blues’ affecting everyone’s numbers, Conservatives with Attitude! continues to be ranked as the Number One Political Website/Blog in the State of New Jersey, according to the respected blog and website monitoring organization, Alexa.com.

This month we added a couple of new organizations into the mix, like Garden State Equality, New Jersey Family Policy Council and the NJEA.

Please note that these Alexa.com traffic rankings are not just reflective of political blogs and/or websites*, but rather anything and everything on the Web that receives traffic and hits, and are the traffic rankings for the United States.

As of Sunday, August 1st, here are the United States traffic rankings for some of the more well known New Jersey political blogs, campaign websites, activist websites, and issue based organizational websites.

Conservatives with Attitude!………………………………..76,657
More Monmouth Musings………………………… …………119,506
Save Jersey……………………………….……… …………..119,528
NJEA……………………………………… ……………………151,403
Blue Jersey…………… ……………………………………….206,348
Anna Little for Congress………… ……………………………602,792
New Jersey State Democrat Party………………… ………No US Ranking
New Jersey State Republican Party… ……………….……No US Ranking
Scott Sipprelle for Congress………………… ……………..No US Ranking
Jon Runyan for Congress…………………… ………………No US Ranking
New Jersey Right to Life…………………………… ……….No US Ranking
New Jersey Tea Party Coalition…………… ……………….No US Ranking
New Jersey Family Policy Council……… …………………No US Ranking
Garden State Equality………………………………… …….No US Ranking

Are these numbers shocking or what? Do you know what a well coded graphical campaign website costs these days?

They would get more exposure by taking an ad on Conservatives with Attitude! instead of paying a consultant THOUSANDS of dollars for a website that obviously NO ONE is reading.

Jon, Scott, call me for my special campaign ad rates!

How about a look at some bonus numbers; World Rankings by Alexa.com, just to show you the disparity and the strength of Conservatives with Attitude!, against those issues based organizations, campaigns or activist websites that do not have a US ranking.

Conservatives with Attitude!……………………… ………..259,789
Scott Sipprelle for Congress…………………… …………..2,850,265
New Jersey State Republican Party………………….……2,852,482
Jon Runyan for Congress……………………………… ……3,174,982

New Jersey Family Policy Council…… ……………………4,500,065
New Jersey Tea Party Coalition………… ………………….4,548,897
Garden State Equality…………………………… ………….5,004,538

The purpose of this post, you ask? Well, obviously it is put ourselves over. There is NO promotion like self-promotion. These rankings truly speak for themselves.

The other reason, is more of a smackdown to those who predicted this blogs demise because I moved to the Conservative Party of New Jersey. Guess what, we’re Still Hereeeee, and causing more trouble then ever before!

Mel Brooks said it best in History of the World, Part I; “It’s good to be the King!”

*The above rankings do not include on-line newspaper websites or political news websites like the Star-Ledger, Asbury Park Press and PolitickerNJ.com

Truth be told, an Alexa ranking of 259,789 is nothing to write home about either...
